AI in Aerospace engineering: inherited autonomy and field demands

Autonomy

Up to 4.4 / 10

Inherited from Engineering. This is the parent’s upper-bound scenario, not a separate assessment of aerospace engineering.

The value follows its parent automatically until this field receives its own assessment.

Parent assessment

Design and simulate an artifact against a specified brief

• Translate requirements into a coherent design
• Generate and revise executable models
• Check physical constraints and failure criteria

Commission and verify a new physical system

• Fabricate and integrate the complete system
• Measure performance under real operating conditions
• Resolve failures and accept the deployed system

Evidence used by the parent

• Physics-in-the-Loop
• CAD agents with finite-element feedback, v2
